About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Pine Ridge Estates community in Ridgeville, South Carolina. Contractors install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be performed at any time within these windows, provided all placement and pickup deadlines are met. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct provides signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed's mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at designated locations, safely store signs and extra stakes during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the website after completing pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance; provide their own vehicle and mobile device; and determine their driving order. Routes may be accepted or declined, but a route must be completed once accepted. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. Work is recurring each weekend, and the role is described as flexible supplemental income. Additional work may be offered as it becomes available.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app.
Be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
Be dependable and complete routes within the required weekend time windows.
Provide and pay for your own vehicle, mobile device, fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Install signs each weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
Use Directed's mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations.
Safely store signs and extra stakes during the week.
