About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Shaftsbury Meadows community in the Conway, South Carolina area. Install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and pick up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be completed at any time within each window, provided all signs are placed and removed by the stated deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct provides the signs and stakes, including replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations, safely store signs and extra stakes during the week, submit a weekly invoice, and order replacement inventory through the website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent-contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They choose their driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete routes they commit to within the required time windows. There are no benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees. The work is recurring each weekend and is described as flexible supplemental income.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
Dependability and ability to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Contractors must provide their own vehicle and mobile device and cover their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
Use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations.
Safely store signs and extra stakes during the week.
