Weekend On-Call Homecare RN
About The Position
Patriot At Home is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time weekend on-call homecare position serving the Cincinnati territory. The on-call period runs from Friday at 4:30 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m.; the organization’s regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The nurse answers calls outside business hours, triages patient calls, and completes visits as needed. The role also includes maintaining and presenting patient records and completing clinical documentation. The position offers a competitive salary, with the opportunity to earn additional money by picking up visits at the per diem rate. Company travel is reimbursed by mileage. Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance begin immediately upon hire, and the company offers a 401(k) with a 4% company match. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Hold a Registered Nurse license in the state.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Hold a current CPR certification.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Be able to access patients’ homes, which may not be wheelchair accessible.
- Have sufficient hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity for patient assessments and care.

- One or more years of experience in a community or home health agency, or in a hospital.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls during non-business hours, from Friday at 4:30 p.m. to Monday at 8:00 a.m.
- Triage patient calls and complete visits as needed.
- Prepare and present the patient’s record to the Clinical Record Review Committee as indicated.
- Submit clinical documentation at least weekly, including progress notes and other clinical record forms outlining services rendered, as indicated.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
