About The Position

The Effingham Chrome Shop is seeking an energetic, customer-focused cashier to help customers select truck accessories in its newly renovated chrome shop. The role includes customer service, register operations, merchandise upkeep, stocking, inventory, and cleaning. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The position pays $16 per hour, with commission after the training period. Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Friendly and helpful personality, with a willingness to assist customers promptly.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to stand for eight hours during the scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug test and background check; employees are also subject to random drug testing.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail and register experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
• Straighten, stock, and reset displays.
• Clean the direct work area, sales floor, and other assigned areas.
• Become familiar with product uses and pricing.
• Receive stock and conduct inventory counts.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle cash and operate the register.
• Perform occasional cleaning duties as assigned.
