About The Position

The Effingham Chrome Shop is seeking an energetic, positive cashier who enjoys helping customers and assisting them with selecting truck accessories. The role involves customer service, sales-floor upkeep, stocking and inventory work, and cash handling. The position is on-site and scheduled from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Pay is $16 per hour, plus commission after the training period. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment drug test and background check; employees are also subject to random drug testing. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Friendly and helpful personality, with a willingness to assist customers promptly.
Must be able to work well with others.
Ability to stand for eight hours during a scheduled shift.
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and be subject to random employee drug testing.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail and register experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
Straighten, stock, and reset displays.
Clean the direct work area, sales floor, and other assigned areas.
Become familiar with product uses and pricing.
Receive stock and conduct inventory counts.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Handle cash and operate the register.
Perform occasional cleaning duties as assigned.
