Full-Time Waxing Specialist/Cerologist - Thursday to Monday
About The Position
Waxing the City is seeking licensed beauty professionals who are passionate about waxing and the beauty industry, take pride in building client relationships, and provide excellent service using expert skills. Service providers complete a week-long, hands-on training course at Waxing University® and become certified Cerologists™. The role focuses on exceeding client expectations throughout the client relationship, providing efficient, effective, high-quality waxing services according to established standards, and maintaining a clean and professional environment. Technicians educate clients about services, retail products, and membership programs, and help build and retain clientele through social platforms, community engagement, and other management-led marketing efforts. The technician reports directly to the salon manager/salon lead and indirectly to all members of ownership. The role also includes supporting the company culture, following safety and sanitation standards, and carrying out other duties assigned in the spirit of teamwork.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as an esthetician or cosmetologist.
- Passion for waxing and the beauty industry.
- Time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to be part of a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Self-motivated.
Responsibilities
- Implement customer service standards for internal and external clients and work to exceed client expectations from initial inquiry through ongoing relationship management.
- Maintain a clean and professional environment.
- Provide efficient, effective, high-quality waxing services in accordance with defined service standards and protocols.
- Follow safety and sanitation standards.
- Inform and educate clients about services, retail products, and the membership program.
- Build and retain clientele through social platforms, community engagement, and other marketing efforts directed by management.
- Support and protect the company culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned in the spirit of teamwork.
