We have an immediate opening for a certified wastewater treatment operator at our St. Charles, Missouri facility, and are also open to training individuals new to the industry seeking a stable career. The Wastewater Operator will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facility under the direction of the Project Manager. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent, or technical/vocational school background.
  • Valid State of MO Driver's License required.
  • A Class A CDL is required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check and DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid State of Missouri Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license is preferred, or the ability to obtain a minimum of a Missouri DNR Class D wastewater certification as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor water and wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor remote pump stations with inspections and daily sampling as required.
  • Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance.
  • Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records, including data entry and report generation for the Monthly Operating Report.
  • Perform general maintenance duties of the plant and other assigned duties.
  • Participate in the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
  • Assist in the operation of assigned treatment, mechanical and electrical equipment and other related facility components.
  • Monitor and control assigned tasks to ensure cost-effective service within budget.
  • Coordinate to ensure other facility employees follow established administrative, safety, and operating policies.
  • Transporting biosolids to the landfill.
