About The Position

Woodard & Curran is seeking a certified wastewater treatment operator for their St. Charles, Missouri treatment facility. They are also open to training individuals new to the industry who are seeking a stable career. The Wastewater Operator will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facility under the direction of the Project Manager. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent, or technical/vocational school background.
  • Valid State of MO Driver's License required.
  • A Class A CDL is required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check and DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid State of Missouri Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license is preferred, or the ability to obtain a minimum of a Missouri DNR Class D certification as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor water and wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation.
  • Monitor remote pump stations with inspections and daily sampling as required.
  • Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.
  • Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records which entails data entry and report generation, including data for preparing the Monthly Operating Report.
  • Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties.
  • Participates in the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
  • Assists in the operation of assigned treatment, mechanical and electrical equipment and other similarly related facility components and equipment.
  • Monitors and controls assigned tasks to ensure cost-effective service to meet budget.
  • Coordinates to ensure that other facility employees follow established administrative, safety, and operating policies.
  • Transporting biosolids to the landfill.
