Our wastewater collection system operators are responsible for the operations and maintenance of Wastewater Collection Systems and Wastewater Pumping Stations. This includes tasks such as CCTV work, line repair and replacement, road flagging, and water disconnects. Operators may also support water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment operations. The role involves skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing, and controlling pump station and plant equipment and processes, working under the supervision of the Lead Operator and Project Manager.

Requirements

  • A self-motivated, positive, can-do attitude!
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Applicant must possess a valid CA Class C Driver’s License.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid CDL license is highly desirable.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the wastewater industry is preferred.
  • CWEA Collection System Maintenance certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the operations and maintenance of Wastewater Collection Systems and Wastewater Pumping Stations.
  • Perform CCTV work, line repair and replacement, road flagging, and water disconnects.
  • Operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role.
  • Perform skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing, and controlling the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.
  • Work under the direct or general supervision of the Lead Operator and Project Manager.
