Our wastewater collection system operators are involved in the operations and maintenance of Wastewater Collection Systems and/or Wastewater Pumping Stations. This may include CCTV work, line repair and replacement, road flagging, and water disconnects. The role may also involve operating water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support capacity. The operator performs skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing, and controlling pump station and plant equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid Class A CDL is preferred.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the wastewater industry is preferred.
  • May require working an on-call schedule, irregular work schedule and overtime hours.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the operations and maintenance of Wastewater Collection Systems and/or Wastewater Pumping Stations.
  • Perform CCTV work, line repair and replacement, road flagging, and water disconnects.
  • Operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role.
  • Perform skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing, and controlling the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.
