About The Position

The ADAS Warranty Engineer is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and resolving warranty issues related to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, parking assist, and sensor-based safety features. The position involves analyzing warranty and connected vehicle data, identifying failure trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, etc.) to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who possesses a deep understanding of warranty fundamentals and can switch between priorities easily in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience with OEM warranty data and metrics (e.g., Ford GSAR/AWS)
  • 2+ years of experience in a non-academic setting using at least two of the following: SQL, Alteryx, or MS Access
  • 1+ years of experience in a data analytics role (writing queries, manipulating large datasets)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and innovative environment where problems are not always well-defined
  • Familiarity with printed circuit boards, IC chips
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on available data

  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, using advanced root cause analysis methodology, tools, documentation, and techniques (8D, 3x5 Why, Fishbone, Black Belt techniques, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis on customer, dealer, and connected vehicle data for field failures
  • Define, run, and analyze data from multiple sources (GSAR/AWS, QED, GCP BigQuery, CV-DOS) to form meaningful, unified datasets
  • Align Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) data with warranty claims to prioritize activities
  • Create and present executive summaries to management
  • Lead/support warranty investigations using problem-solving methodologies
  • Support NTF (No Trouble Found) investigations to reduce waste and improve diagnostic accuracy
  • Review and analyze test results and data to validate fixes to approve and monitor the effectiveness of Interim/Permanent Corrective Actions (ICA/PCA)
  • Lead supplier engagement, facilitating support for warranty analysis and driving accountability through 8D workplans and JIRA tracking
  • Collaborate with Feature Owners, Design Engineering, Quality, and Plant PVT teams to drive systemic corrective actions
  • Manage warranty part return volumes and coordinate with internal and external teams to complete field investigations
  • Assist in the creation of service messages, field service actions, and workshop manual updates based on data findings
  • Provide Global Warranty Coverage (GWC) support, including defining acceptance factors, developing vehicle criteria, and dispositioning disputes
