About The Position

PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905, recognized as a global leader in the commercial vehicle, financial, and customer service fields. Kenworth Truck Company, a division of PACCAR, is a manufacturer of heavy and medium duty trucks and an industry leader in providing fuel-saving technology solutions. This role will be responsible for reviewing and processing warranty claims, providing support to Kenworth Dealers and Fleet Customers, and serving as a subject matter expert for assigned business unit responsibilities. The position involves working independently with various departments to process claims according to established guidelines, managing accurate invoicing and reconciliation of supplier recovery warranty costs, and performing additional technical and administrative duties as assigned. Travel to Fleet/Dealer/Production locations may be required (<5%).

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience required
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Good recall of detail and a mechanical aptitude
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced just-in-time environment with rapidly changing objectives
  • Able to accept responsibility for assigned projects and work effectively under general or minimal supervision
  • Comfortable with processing large volumes of (claims) data and able to provide data-driven answers to questions about the material processed
  • Ability to remain organized, meet deadlines, and deal with areas of ambiguity

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; Equivalent years of relevant experience can be substituted with a degree
  • The ability to create and manage ad-hoc SQL queries and dashboards within Snowflake or Tableau to help support claim management and goals is a plus
  • Previous Automotive or Truck Dealership Service Advisor or Service Manager experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and process warranty claims
  • Review claim information provided by dealers; work independently with Supplier Recovery, Engineering, or Quality to process claims per established guidelines
  • Provide best-in-class support to Kenworth Dealers and Fleet Customers on a regular basis
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned Business Unit responsibilities
  • Work closely with external/internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage accurate invoicing and reconciliation of all Supplier Recovery related warranty costs
  • Travel to Fleet/Dealer/Production locations as needed (<5% travel required)
  • Perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned
