About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Warehouse Worker for a position in Kingsport, TN. The Warehouse position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. The primary function of this role will be working in the laydown yards, mostly pulling and storing pipe and steel. This is a non-exempt role and reports to the Foreman. Assigned duties are according to specific procedures and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Knowledge of operating a fork truck
SAP experience preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
Some sites may require a forklift certification

Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

Stores, removes, loads, and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles that cannot be handled by material handling devices.
Operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves.
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color.
Moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares for delivery.
Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or stock items.
Records material items received or distributed.
May maintain inventory records.
Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain work area.
Operates a fork truck.
Access SAP transactions.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
