About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking an Electrician Helper for a position in Kingsport, TN. The Helper position is responsible for assisting skilled workers in performing their assigned duties and performing a large variety of duties. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman. Assigned duties are performed according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Able to focus on task at hand without being distracted
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift

Nice To Haves

Six (6) months of experience in specified skill

Responsibilities

Assisting skilled workers in performing their assigned duties.
Performing a large variety of duties.
Digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel.
Touching up paint.
Pouring and spreading concrete, asphalt, gravel, or other materials.
Handling building materials.
Fixing flats and changing out tires on trailers and mobile equipment.
Lifting and carrying materials such as pipe and fittings throughout the facility.
Helping with tools and equipment such as welding machine setup, rigging for the crane, tightening headstock, etc.
Operating a crane if certified.
Transferring from task to task as the project progresses to completion.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Performing additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
