Electrician Helper - Kingsport, TN

The company is seeking an Electrician Helper for a position in Kingsport, TN. This is a non-exempt role where the Helper assists skilled workers in performing their assigned duties and performs a variety of other tasks. Work is checked frequently and assigned according to specific procedures.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent.
- Able to focus on task at hand without being distracted.
- Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
- Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably six (6) months of experience in specified skill.
Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled workers in performing their assigned duties.
- Performing a large variety of duties.
- Reading and signing off on JSA prior to starting shift.
- Digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel.
- Touching up paint.
- Pouring and spreading concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials.
- Handling building materials.
- Fixing flats and changing out tires on trailers and mobile equipment.
- Lifting and carrying materials such as pipe and fittings throughout the facility.
- Helping with tools and equipment such as welding machine set up, rigging for the crane, tightening headstock etc.
- Operating the crane if certified.
- Transferring from task to task as the project progresses to completion.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Performing additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
