About The Position

As a warehouse selector on the distribution team, you will help deliver exceptional service by accurately and efficiently selecting products for Wegmans stores. You will use attention to detail and teamwork to build safe, efficient pallets, maintain product quality, and support accurate orders. Overnight positions consist of four 10-hour shifts per week. The role may involve working in and being exposed to cold temperatures. Frozen positions earn an additional $2.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift 20–25 pounds on average, with maximum weights greater than 50 pounds lifted occasionally to frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize product damage during transportation and maximize trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment needed for job duties, which may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect.
• Perform order audits to check accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and requirements for all products.
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues through reports and other necessary communication.
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain for loads with temperature requirements.
