Warehouse Worker and Non CDL Driver - Lafayette, LA
About The Position
The Warehouse Worker and Non-CDL Driver ensures materials are available for customers by safely and accurately receiving and storing materials, picking and packing orders, and supporting pickup and delivery. The role maintains Coburn’s standard of customer service and includes operating a non-CDL vehicle and, when certified, a forklift. Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. A consistent presence at work is required. Employees must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required, and pass the company-required drug screen and physical. Coburn Supply Company serves the construction industry across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a related industry.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read a map and/or follow written directions.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer and company branch locations.
- For Louisiana non-CDL drivers: Louisiana Chauffeurs license (Class D) with medical card; drivers must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass the company-required drug screen and physical.
- Must maintain consistent attendance.
- Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.
Responsibilities
- Receive and store materials accurately and safely.
- Pick and pack orders for customer pickup and delivery.
- Help ensure materials are readily available for customers.
- Drive vehicles to transport materials to customers and company branch locations.
- Operate forklifts as authorized and certified.
- Maintain Coburn’s standard of customer service.
