About The Position

Timken Distribution Center is seeking a 1st Shift Utility Support Employee for its facility in Duncan, South Carolina. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus overtime as scheduled. The role supports warehouse and packaging operations, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service. Employees should be able to work independently and proactively and demonstrate drive and self-reliance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete production forms.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and plant leadership.
• Able to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting and moving materials.
• Must wear steel-toed shoes while on the plant floor.
• Must be able to work independently and proactively and demonstrate drive and self-reliance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Packaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Use a handheld scanner to identify, transfer, and arrange totes and cases according to work copies for packaging.
• Arrange work for packaging lines according to daily priorities set by the lead.
• Arrange and gather orders and supplies for packaging lines; use a pallet jack or hand jack when needed.
• Identify missing cases and totes.
• Move materials to packaging areas using appropriate equipment.
• Complete standard forms and checklists.
• Take out trash and keep equipment and the work area clean and orderly.
