Utility Support - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Utility Support role, described in the summary as Asitrade Tech Level I, is responsible for overall machine production and the quality of the work produced. The employee monitors starch adhesion on the SF side using the X test quality check, glue adhesion on the DF side using edge pull checks, and front/back and side-to-side registration. The role also involves understanding line clearance, next-order setup, and stacker-section controls; completing monthly preventive maintenance tasks on the stacker section; working safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures; and assisting operators as needed. Overtime may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED minimum.
- Prior die cut experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; may need to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top-quality products.
- Normal vision is required.
- The qualifications state availability for 2nd shift, although the posting title identifies 1st shift.
Responsibilities
- Monitor starch adhesion on the SF side using the X test quality check.
- Monitor glue adhesion on the DF side using edge pull quality checks.
- Monitor front/back and side-to-side registration and communicate adjustment needs to operators.
- Understand line clearance, next-order setup, and all controls on the stacker sections.
- Perform all monthly preventive maintenance tasks on the stacker section of the machine.
- Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist operators as required.
- Work overtime as required.
