About The Position

As a Warehouse Technician at Hitachi, Ltd., you will handle incoming and outgoing materials, maintain organized inventory, and support warehouse operations to ensure smooth logistical flow. The role includes receiving, inspecting, unloading, storing, picking, packing, and preparing materials and products for shipment. You will use warehouse equipment, maintain inventory records, conduct counts, and help keep the warehouse safe, clean, and efficient. The position is full-time and onsite in Bland, Virginia, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace regulations.
Ability to repeatedly lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Proficiency operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material-handling equipment; certification preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials and products; verify quantities against purchase orders and identify discrepancies or damage.
Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders and shipping instructions, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
Maintain inventory records through scanning, labeling, and data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS).
Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse in accordance with safety protocols and company policies.
Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance as required.
Collaborate with warehouse staff, logistics teams, and internal departments to resolve issues and optimize processes.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and quality control issues to supervisors.
