About The Position
The Dissector supports the TPL and the company by performing tissue dissections, aseptic processing of allografts, and general laboratory functions. The role includes tissue processing and documentation, evaluating tissue attributes against quality specifications, handling incoming tissue, maintaining laboratory instruments and processing areas, monitoring equipment, and completing required records in compliance with Artivion SOPs. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
- Able to follow instructions and work without direct supervision.
- Available to work Friday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Responsibilities
- Dissect, process, and document at least one tissue type.
- Evaluate and document attributes for acceptance according to quality specifications.
- Perform sterile and non-sterile duties for aseptic transfers.
- Receive, inspect, label, and document incoming tissue.
- Circulate at dissection.
- Disinfect, assemble, and sterilize laboratory instruments.
- Prepare disinfectants, solutions, and intermediates.
- Clean processing areas and the general laboratory area, including laundering laboratory scrubs and disposing of waste.
- Monitor and record equipment parameters.
- Stock supplies and use the material system.
- Produce complete and accurate documentation and labeling for the functions performed.
- Complete appropriate training records before performing associated functions.
- Perform all functions in compliance with Artivion SOPs.
- Assist in training newer technicians.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
