About The Position

The Dissector supports the TPL and company by performing tissue dissections, aseptic processing of allografts, and general laboratory functions. The position works a weekend schedule of Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
• Able to follow instructions and work without direct supervision.
• Available to work Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Dissect, process, and document at least one tissue type.
• Evaluate and document tissue attributes for acceptance according to quality specifications.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile duties for aseptic transfers.
• Receive, inspect, label, and document incoming tissue.
• Circulate at dissection.
• Disinfect, assemble, and sterilize laboratory instruments.
• Prepare disinfectants, solutions, and intermediates.
• Clean processing and general laboratory areas, including laundering laboratory scrubs and disposing of waste.
• Monitor and record equipment parameters.
• Stock supplies and use the material system.
• Produce complete and accurate documentation and labeling for assigned functions.
• Complete appropriate training records before performing associated functions.
• Perform all functions in compliance with Artivion SOPs.
• Assist with training newer technicians.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
