About The Position

Artivion is a medical device company focused on solutions for cardiac and vascular surgeons treating aortic diseases. The Dissector supports the TPL and company by performing tissue dissections, aseptic processing of allografts, and general laboratory functions. This is a weekend-shift position scheduled Friday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
• Able to follow instructions and work without direct supervision.
• Available to work Friday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Dissect, process, and document at least one tissue type.
• Evaluate and document tissue attributes for acceptance according to quality specifications.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile duties for aseptic transfers.
• Receive, inspect, label, and document incoming tissue.
• Circulate at dissection.
• Disinfect, assemble, and sterilize laboratory instruments.
• Prepare disinfectants, solutions, and intermediates.
• Clean processing areas and general laboratory areas, including laundering laboratory scrubs and disposing of waste.
• Monitor and record equipment parameters.
• Stock supplies and use the material system.
• Produce complete and accurate documentation and labeling for the functions described.
• Complete appropriate training records before performing associated functions.
• Perform all functions in compliance with Artivion SOPs.
• Assist with training newer technicians.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
