About The Position

Dealer Tire is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to lead an assigned receiving or shipping function, provide direction to associates, and troubleshoot operational issues. The role assists with supervising inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, checking products and orders, and coordinating product movement. It also supports a safe, engaged, and productive team through training, coaching, performance support, and collaboration with warehouse leadership. Administrative duties include monitoring supply levels and ordering supplies. The position requires a high school diploma, at least three years of supply chain experience, and the physical ability to lift up to 90 pounds and perform repetitive bending, twisting, and crouching. Candidates must meet company vehicle and driving requirements, including passing a road skills test and DOT physical after hire. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening; random drug testing applies to warehouse employees.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
At least 3 years of supply chain experience, including distribution center, inventory, and transportation experience.
Strong process-improvement mindset focused on continuous growth.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to lift up to 90 pounds and continuously lift, bend, twist, and crouch.
Meet Dealer Tire’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy requirements.
Speak and read English well enough to converse with the public, understand road signs, respond to official questions, and make legible entries on records and reports.
Be at least 21 years old.
After hire, pass a driver’s road skills test and DOT physical.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening; warehouse employees are subject to random drug testing.
For employees with a Missouri driver’s license, hold a valid Class E license.
For employees working in a Michigan Distribution Center, hold a valid Chauffeur’s License.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the assigned receiving or shipping function, direct associates, and troubleshoot issues.
Assist in supervising inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
Support inventory-control training and perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
Collaborate with leadership to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Count incoming products, compare them with manifests, and check shipments before storage.
Report shortages, damage, and missed shipments to management.
Check filled and assembled orders against customer requirements for quantity, quality, labeling, and destination.
Relocate, replenish, and consolidate products as directed.
Inform management of staffing and equipment resource-allocation issues.
Deliver safety training and certifications, enforce safety procedures, and address safety issues.
Collaborate with warehouse leadership on associates’ technical and professional development and help implement development plans.
Coach, teach, and train associates.
Support employee initiatives and strategies for recognition, engagement, and team building.
Provide input for team-member performance assessments and recommend appropriate actions, including promotion, counseling, or termination.
Assist the Distribution Center Manager with performance conversations and with coaching, counseling, and discipline.
Provide associates with task-level direction within the area of responsibility.
Monitor supply levels and order supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Operate company vehicles safely and professionally, wear a seat belt, and use safety equipment when required.
