About The Position

The Warehouse Shift Lead helps ensure that co-workers maximize productivity during each shift while following high safety standards. The role works with the On-Site Manager to set shift and operating schedules that serve local customers, supports recruiting and employee development, and helps ensure compliance with safety and HR policies. The Shift Lead also assists with employee relations, supply and equipment maintenance, forklift duties, material handling, quality checks, equipment inspections, financial data entry, and maintaining a clean and safe facility. The position is based at 7000 Power Line Rd, Sacramento, CA 95837, and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Forklift certification.

• One year of supervisor or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the On-Site Manager to set shift and operating schedules to best serve local customers.
• Assist with recruiting and developing employees.
• Ensure company safety and HR policies are followed.
• Order and maintain supplies and arrange for office equipment maintenance.
• Assist with forklift driver duties as needed.
• Track movements in a timely and legible manner on the proper forms.
• Assist the On-Site Manager with local employee relations issues.
• Load and unload materials from trailers and move them to the appropriate staging area within the facility.
• Check that loads are secure.
• Ensure daily equipment checks are performed on all industrial power equipment.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Perform basic financial data entry.
• Execute assignments accurately, promptly, and safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
