About The Position

The Warehouse Shift Lead helps ensure coworkers maximize productivity during each shift while adhering to high safety standards. The role works with the On-Site Manager on shift and operating schedules, assists with recruiting and employee development, and supports safety, HR, employee relations, equipment, and supply needs. The position also performs warehouse and pallet-service tasks, including forklift duties, loading and unloading materials, checking load security, tracking movements, verifying product quality, and completing basic financial data entry.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

One year of supervisor or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with the On-Site Manager to set shift and operating schedules that best serve local customers.
Assist with recruiting and developing employees.
Ensure company safety and HR policies are followed.
Order and maintain supplies and arrange office equipment maintenance.
Assist with forklift driver duties as needed.
Track movements promptly and legibly on the proper forms.
Assist the On-Site Manager with local employee relations issues.
Load and unload materials from trailers and move them to the appropriate facility staging area.
Check that loads are secure.
Ensure daily equipment checks are performed on all industrial power equipment.
Examine products to verify they conform to quality standards.
Perform basic financial data entry.
Execute assignments accurately, promptly, and safely.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
