Warehouse Selector - Nightshift (part-time)
About The Position
Upper Lakes Foods is hiring a part-time Warehouse Selector to help ensure customers receive their products accurately and on time. This fast-paced, hands-on role involves building customer orders, operating an electric pallet jack and other order-selection equipment, and working with a team. Starting pay is $21.50 per hour, with productivity-based incentives that provide the opportunity to earn more. The preferred schedule is Sunday through Tuesday availability, for 2–3 days per week. Shifts begin at 7:00 PM and continue until the work is complete. Regular and dependable attendance is important. This is an active job involving most of the shift standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 20–80 pounds, with occasional movement of items weighing more than 100 pounds. Work takes place in dry, cooler, and freezer areas, with temperatures ranging from approximately -10°F to 85°F, and around warehouse equipment in an environment that can be noisy. Final candidates must successfully complete a background check, pre-employment lift evaluation if applicable, and pre-employment drug screening. Offers are conditional upon satisfactory results.
Requirements
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment after training.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Complete the required background check and pre-employment drug screening; complete a pre-employment lift evaluation if applicable.
- Ability to perform the physical demands described, including frequently handling 20–80 pounds and occasionally moving items weighing more than 100 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with physically active work, such as sports, fitness, farming, construction, or patient care, is a plus.
- Sunday–Tuesday availability is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Select and build accurate customer orders.
- Work toward a goal of 1,000 or more cases per shift.
- Operate an electric pallet jack and order-selection equipment.
- Build, wrap, and transport pallets to the appropriate dock.
- Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and damage.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
