About The Position

Publix Super Markets is hiring a part-time Warehouse Selector in Sarasota. Selectors pull products ordered by Publix stores, place them onto pallets, wrap completed orders, and prepare them for truck delivery. They use warehouse technology to identify ordered products and their locations. The role is physically active, involving frequent walking, lifting, bending, and stretching, and supports keeping shelves stocked across more than 1,400 stores. Compensation after training varies by output; selectors who work safely, efficiently, and accurately can earn above standard pay. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to work a rotating schedule that includes some weekends and holidays.
Be able to work fluctuating shifts when needed.
Be able to select, lift, carry, and stack products weighing up to 67 pounds for high velocity.
Be able to stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive work for long periods.
Be able to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
Obtain pallet truck and forklift operation certification on or before the position start date.
Be able to read, write, identify, and verify numbers.
Be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Pass a Physical Agility Test before the position start date, as applicable.

Responsibilities

Select products ordered by Publix stores.
Place selected products onto pallets, wrap completed orders, and prepare them for truck delivery.
Use warehouse technology to identify ordered products and their locations.
Perform duties efficiently, accurately, and safely.
