Warehouse Selector - Nightshift
About The Position
Upper Lakes Foods is hiring a Warehouse Order Selector to build customer orders accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse position involving order selection, electric pallet jack operation, and teamwork. The starting pay is $21.50 per hour, with productivity-based incentives that provide the opportunity to earn more. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, beginning at 7:00 PM and continuing until completion, typically for 8 or more hours. Earlier finishes are possible when work is completed ahead of schedule, and holiday work may be required. Regular and dependable attendance is important. The position involves spending most of the shift standing and walking, and frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The work takes place in dry, cooler, and freezer areas with temperatures ranging approximately from -10°F to 85°F, and around warehouse equipment in an environment that can be noisy. Upper Lakes Foods is the largest independent wholesale food distributor in Minnesota, with facilities in Cloquet, Minnesota; Northfield, Minnesota; and Janesville, Wisconsin. The company distributes food throughout the Upper Midwest and serves foodservice operators. Requirements
- Dependable attendance.

- Ability to operate warehouse equipment after training.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent handling of 20–80 pounds and occasional movement of items weighing more than 100 pounds.

- Warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with physically active work such as sports, fitness, farming, construction, or patient care.
Responsibilities
- Select and build accurate customer orders.
- Work toward a goal of 1,000 or more cases per shift.
- Operate an electric pallet jack and order-selection equipment.
- Build, wrap, and transport pallets to the appropriate dock.
- Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and damage.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
