About The Position

A warehouse receiver plays a crucial role in warehouse operations, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. Responsibilities include verifying incoming goods against shipping documentation, inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, recording inventory, labeling and organizing goods, coordinating with warehouse staff, processing returns, and following safety procedures. The role works in a warehouse environment around forklifts, pallet jacks, and racking, and is performed in a facility that is not climate controlled.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Computer proficiency for inventory systems.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Check and verify incoming goods against shipping documentation, such as packing slips or purchase orders.
Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to management or the vendor.
Accurately enter received goods into the warehouse inventory management system.
Label received goods and organize them in their proper storage locations.
Work with warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and packers, to support a smooth workflow.
Process returns or exchanges of defective or incorrect items.
Follow safety protocols and procedures when receiving and storing goods.
