About The Position

JELD-WEN is hiring a Shipper & Receiver for its manufacturing team. This role supports shipping, receiving, material handling, and general warehouse operations. Depending on assignment, duties include moving trucks and trailers around the yard and docks, inspecting incoming loads, checking shipping documents, operating forklifts, loading finished products onto trucks, assisting with cycle counts, preparing and staging materials, and packaging products for delivery. The position is on second shift, from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and may require overtime to meet customer demands.

The company describes the workplace as safe, challenging, and fast-paced. Pay is expected to be $19.13 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally team-lift items exceeding 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver trucks within the parking lot.
• Place empty trailers in docks from the yard, or move trailers from the yard to dock doors as directed.
• Inspect incoming loads.
• Check shipping documents for correct customer information.
• Operate propane and electric forklifts (hi-los).
• Perform a preventative maintenance inspection at the start of each shift.
• Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished products.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Prepare and handle materials.
• Stage and package finished products for delivery.
• Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
