About The Position

A warehouse receiver plays a crucial role in warehouse operations, ensuring that incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. The role includes verifying incoming goods against shipping documentation, inspecting for damage or discrepancies, recording inventory, labeling and organizing goods, collaborating with warehouse staff, processing returns or exchanges, and following safety protocols. The position is offered on first, second, and third shifts.

Requirements

Attention to detail.
Basic math skills.
Computer proficiency for inventory systems.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and climb.
Ability to stand or walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
Ability to work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled, with temperatures that rise in summer and fall in winter.

Responsibilities

Check and verify incoming goods against shipping documentation, such as packing slips or purchase orders.
Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to management or the vendor.
Accurately enter received goods into the warehouse inventory management system.
Label received goods and organize them in their proper storage locations.
Collaborate with warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and packers, to ensure a smooth workflow.
Process returns or exchanges of defective or incorrect items.
Follow safety protocols and procedures while receiving and storing goods.
