About The Position

Openwork is hiring dependable Warehouse Associates for a well-established company opening a new location in Houston, Texas, near IAH. The client has more than 29 locations across the United States and has been in business for 60 years. This is a direct-hire position paying $15 per hour. Associates must be open to working first, second, or third shift and will have two consecutive days off, which are not usually weekends. The role processes returned materials according to established quality SOPs and supports airline operations by building flight kits for United Airlines and receiving and sending airplane laundry. The position involves maintaining accurate processing records and logs, performing daily housekeeping, and standing for eight hours or more. Employees must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. A company T-shirt is provided; black pants or cargo shorts below the knee and black sneakers are required.

Requirements

Demonstrate responsible work habits and satisfy all pre-employment requirements.
Have effective communication and listening skills.
Have 1–2 years of warehouse work experience.
Be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to stand for eight hours or more.

Nice To Haves

Sit-down forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect and check returned materials.
Follow established quality SOPs to categorize returned materials for return to stock, refurbishment, cleaning, or disposal.
Maintain accurate records of materials processed.
Build flight kits for United Airlines.
Receive and send airplane laundry; washing laundry is not part of the role.
Perform daily housekeeping tasks to standard.
Track and maintain logs, including basic written reports of work performed.
