A Warehouse Receiver is responsible for timely and accurate receipt of products and their placement in designated warehouse areas. The role includes unloading deliveries, breaking down and reviewing their contents, and verifying that items and quantities match the purchase order. At the Danbury store’s central warehousing operation, receivers also fulfill transfer orders for delivery to other food stores and verify items and quantities against the manifest. The department is colder than room temperature to protect highly perishable products. The receiving dock may also be cold when its doors are open for deliveries, and noise may be above normal because of the HVAC system. The job involves frequent walking, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, squatting, and reaching, with lifting up to 110 pounds. The company describes a family-oriented workplace with career opportunities and growth, and highlights its S.T.E.W. values: Satisfy, Teamwork, Excellence, and Wow. The position is seasonal and hourly, with an estimated pay range of $18.50 to $19.50 depending on qualifications and experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
