About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving product and checking it for damage, verifying that the product and quantities received match the purchase order (PO) and pallet label, using reports generated from the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role is classified as Career Framework Job Level W2 and involves routine work with a moderate degree of supervision. Some skills are developed through training or work experience, and the work impacts the team. The position is based at the SpartanNash Distribution Center in Norfolk, Virginia, in a freezer environment of approximately -15° to -20°. The starting rate is $19.50 per hour.

The role requires the ability to work assigned 8–10-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary. Work takes place in a warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to changes in temperature and humidity depending on assignment, and usually moderate-to-high noise. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Ability to work assigned 8–10-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary and assigned.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with temperature and humidity changes and moderate-to-high noise.
