Warehouse Picking Clerk - 2nd shift
About The Position
Concordance Healthcare Solutions is hiring a full-time Warehouse Picking Clerk at its Kalamazoo, Michigan location. The role involves locating merchandise using a voice pick system and accurately pulling, checking, and packaging items to fulfill customer orders. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST. The clerk reports inventory discrepancies and shortages, researches short product to support a high fill rate, stages picked merchandise in appropriate areas, and maintains a clean and orderly work environment. The position also involves following customer requests and established policies, contributing to a positive team-oriented atmosphere, and operating and maintaining warehouse equipment safely. The employer reports having more than 750 employees and provides supply-chain solutions to the healthcare continuum.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of forklift operating experience.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- At least 3 years of bulk picking experience, including handling large-volume orders.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and walker-riders.
- Ability to perform the physical motions typical of an order picker, including bending, reaching, stretching, walking, pushing carts, and standing or walking for prolonged periods and for the entire shift, often over 8 hours.
- Ability to lift as much as 50 pounds or more and repeatedly push or pull carts weighing 75 pounds or more throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Proficiency with basic arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to successfully pass a post-offer background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities
- Locate merchandise using the voice pick system and accurately pull, check, and package items for customer orders.
- Report inventory discrepancies and shortages to a supervisor and research short product as needed to maintain a high fill rate.
- Stage picked merchandise in the proper area, adjusting as space needs require, and proactively report areas of concern to a supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment; clean and straighten during general duties; complete custodial assignments, including trash detail, when needed; and follow the established cleaning schedule.
- Report damages and disorderly areas to a supervisor.
- Follow customer requests according to established policies.
- Help foster and maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and work with associates to promote the company's goals and common good.
- Operate warehouse equipment efficiently and safely to avoid injury to personnel and equipment.
- Report mechanical issues to a supervisor upon discovery and maintain assigned equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
