About The Position

The picker/packer/cutter fulfills customer orders by picking and packing products and cutting films. The role involves processing customer orders from sales, preparing and repackaging products according to label and box details, cutting materials, and maintaining the work area while following standard operating procedures. This position works three 12-hour shifts, Monday through Wednesday, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The warehouse environment is warm in summer and cool in winter, with substantial walking and time on one’s feet; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is required. Employees may also be assigned other job-related duties by an authorized person. Duties and requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have a work visa.
Attention to detail and high accuracy when reading sales orders.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills.
Order-picking ability.
Order-packing ability.
Ability to walk and remain on one’s feet throughout the workday.
Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Read and understand sales order requests.
Process customer orders received from sales.
Operate a pallet jack and cherry picker.
Understand which product lines can be changed through C.O.P. (Change of Product).
Repackage products according to label and box details.
Use Eazy Label software and print labels.
Operate the Pack Size machine.
Operate the hydraulic press machine to precut boxes.
Package precut boxes and build a box pallet.
Use the shrink wrap machine and its settings.
Use banding equipment.
Understand measurements.
Operate the cutting machine.
Staple (kick) boxes.
Clean and maintain the work area.
Work according to standard operating procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by an authorized person.
