About The Position

The picker/packer fulfills customer orders by locating inventory (picking) and preparing items for shipment (packing). The role works Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is based in a warehouse environment that gets warm in summer and cool in winter. The position involves considerable walking and standing throughout the day, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have a work visa.
• High accuracy when reading sales orders and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication skills.
• Order-picking skills.
• Order-packing skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for much of the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders received from sales.
• Read and interpret sales order requests.
• Operate a pallet jack and cherry picker.
• Identify product lines eligible for C.O.P. (Change of Product).
• Repackage products according to label and box details.
• Use Eazy Label software and print labels.
• Operate the Pack Size machine and hydraulic press machine to precut boxes.
• Package precut boxes and build a box pallet.
• Use the shrink wrap machine and adjust its settings.
• Use banding equipment.
• Staple (kick) boxes.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by an authorized person.
