About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. Associates may be assigned to one of four areas: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian, and may be moved between these roles as needed. The work includes accurately picking and preparing orders; scanning labels, cutting boxes, and restocking shelves; selecting, pulling, and packing totes; moving totes and cases onto conveyor belts; or cleaning and performing basic maintenance inside and outside the facility. Associates are expected to follow safety procedures and support Staples’ safety culture. The listed schedule is 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Sunday and 4:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Pay for performance may provide additional compensation for meeting productivity thresholds.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products weighing up to 70 pounds by hand.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• For full-time associates, ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift; overtime may be required based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset use is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and on time to meet daily production goals.
• At times, pick products above ground level while following safety procedures.
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare work areas for the next shift.
• Select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products.
• Move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt while following safety procedures.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; vacuum and remove carpet spots; sweep and mop floors; clean and dust furniture and partition walls; clean windows and brass; and collect and remove warehouse trash.
• Follow safe work practices and contribute to the company’s safety culture.
• Work assigned schedules and remain accountable for assigned tasks.
