About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. As an SC1 warehouse associate, you may be assigned to any of four roles as needed: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian. Associates are expected to follow safety procedures, embrace the company’s safety culture, and contribute to customer and production goals. The position is part-time, second shift, scheduled Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pay for performance may provide additional compensation when productivity thresholds are met.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products weighing up to 70 pounds by hand.
• Ability to walk and stand for 100% of the time.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.

• Ability to quickly adopt safety procedures and maintain safe work practices.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset experience is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and on time to meet daily production goals, sometimes working above ground level.
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare the work area for the next shift.
• Select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpet, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning furniture and windows, and collecting and removing warehouse trash.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain safe work practices.
• Complete assigned tasks and work the assigned schedule.
