About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. Warehouse associates may be assigned to any of four areas as business needs require. Order Pickers accurately and promptly pick and prepare customer orders, sometimes working above ground level while following safety procedures. Restockers scan labels, cut boxes, and replenish shelves to prepare work areas for the next shift. Bulk Selectors select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt. Custodians perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning furniture and windows, and removing warehouse trash. Associates are expected to follow safe work practices and support Staples’ safety culture. The scheduled shift is 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full-time associates must be able to work additional hours, including overtime, when business needs require it.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to work an assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and adhere to job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products by hand up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• If hired as a full-time associate, ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift, including overtime as required by business needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset experience is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and promptly pick and prepare customer orders to meet daily production goals.
• At times, pick products above ground level while following safety procedures.
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare work areas for the next shift.
• Select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning restrooms, floors, furniture, windows, and removing trash.
• Follow safety procedures and support safe work practices.
• Complete assigned tasks and work the assigned schedule; be available for additional hours and required overtime based on business needs if hired full-time.
