About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler manually loads trucks with products for delivery to customers. The role involves lifting, lowering, and carrying products in a fast-paced warehouse, stacking empty pallets, and keeping the workspace safe and clean. The employee is expected to follow safe work practices and contribute to the safety culture while supporting Staples Supply Chain’s customer deliveries. The work schedule is 1:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday through Monday. The warehouse may have seasonal temperature variations.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of related warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift; overtime will be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment or merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain MHEO certification and safely operate necessary material handling equipment as required.
• Willingness and ability to keep the work area clean.
• Ability to adopt safety procedures and ensure safe work practices.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Inclusive approach to working with colleagues and customers, building relationships, and collaborating to resolve issues.
