Warehouse Custodian
About The Position
Gordon Food Service is hiring a custodian to support distribution center operations by keeping buildings clean and organized. Duties include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, emptying trash, clearing snow, and maintaining landscaping. The role is based at the distribution center at 7770 Kensigton Court and is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Fridays and Saturdays off. The position is identified as second shift and includes a $1.00-per-hour shift premium. The work environment can range from -25°F to 100°F. No prior experience is required; training is provided. Starting pay is $19.60 per hour, including the shift premium, with monthly performance incentives. Employees may be required to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions from -25°F to 100°F.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, benefits and company website information, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
