About The Position

The Warehouse Custodian keeps assigned areas clean and orderly and carries out warehouse handling and shipping duties. The position maintains a clean work area, follows company safety policies and procedures, prepares finished products for shipping, handles goods and supplies, tracks inventory condition, and completes daily logs. The role also includes moving waste from the assembly line, performing preventive maintenance on designated equipment, and following supervisors’ orders while working with colleagues and team members.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
No previous experience is required.
Complete all safety and task training certifications.
A valid driver’s license may be required based on business needs; employees who drive as part of their duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
May be required to be forklift certified.
Able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean work area and comply with company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Stop at-risk behavior by oneself and others.
Prepare finished products for shipping by shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
Load and unload goods and supplies, ensuring proper handling.
Pack, label, and tag warehouse inventory.
Maintain warehouse quality and track damaged inventory.
Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, trucks, and/or railcars.
Move waste from the assembly line to dumpsters.
Complete daily logs.
Carry out supervisors’ orders and work with fellow workers and other team members.
Use proper personal protective equipment.
Understand customer service and satisfaction.
