About The Position

The Warehouse Custodian keeps assigned areas clean and orderly while supporting warehouse operations. The role includes preparing finished products for shipping, handling and tracking inventory, moving waste, and performing preventive maintenance on specified equipment. The employee follows company safety procedures, uses appropriate personal protective equipment, completes daily logs, and carries out supervisors’ instructions. No previous experience is required; a high school diploma or GED is required. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
No previous experience is required.
Complete all safety and task training certifications.
A valid driver's license may be required based on business needs; employees who drive for work must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
Forklift certification may be required.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean work area and comply with company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Stop at-risk behavior by oneself and others.
Prepare finished products for shipping by shrink-wrapping, boxing, and labeling them.
Load and unload goods and supplies and ensure proper handling.
Pack, label, and tag warehouse inventory.
Maintain warehouse quality and track damaged inventory.
Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, trucks, and/or railcars.
Move waste from the assembly line to dumpsters.
Complete daily logs.
Carry out supervisors’ orders and work with fellow workers and other team members.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Understand customer service and satisfaction.
