About The Position

Zingerman’s Mail Order is hiring seasonal warehouse crew to help prepare and ship food and gifts during the holiday season. The warehouse team grows substantially for the holidays and includes people in a range of roles, such as selecting order items, delivering ingredients to pickers, checking orders for accuracy and condition, packing boxes, loading shipments onto trucks, and portioning cheese. No previous experience is required; training is provided.

The warehouse is located at 610 Phoenix Drive in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on the AATA bus route. Work begins in November and ends on or around December 23, 2026. Crew members must be available for at least three shifts per week through the week before Christmas. Day shifts run 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and pay $17 per hour. Night shifts, which begin in December, run 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. and pay $18 per hour. The warehouse operates six to seven days a week, and part-time schedules, full-time schedules, and overtime are available.

The work requires physical stamina, including being able to lift up to 20 pounds, bend, and remain on your feet during a 10-hour shift. Workers must be able to read and understand instructions in English, be at least 18 years old, and be eligible to work in the United States. Reliable transportation and punctuality are also emphasized. Paid training and breaks are provided; longer shifts that include a meal break include a free homemade meal. Seasonal crew are encouraged to apply for year-round opportunities after the season, though positions are limited.

Responsibilities

• Select items for customer orders.
• Deliver ingredients and supplies to pickers to keep production moving.
• Check orders to ensure boxes contain the correct items in good condition.
• Pack items neatly and safely into shipping boxes.
• Load boxes onto trucks.
• Slice wheels of cheese into portioned wedges.
• Support other tasks that help the warehouse operate smoothly.
