About The Position

Zingerman’s Mail Order is hiring temporary seasonal warehouse crew to prepare and ship food and gifts to customers during the holiday season. The warehouse team grows substantially for the busy season, and employees may work in a variety of roles, including selecting order items, delivering ingredients to pickers, checking orders for accuracy and condition, packing items into shipping boxes, loading boxes onto trucks, and portioning cheese. Other tasks also help keep warehouse operations running smoothly. No prior experience is required; training is provided.

Work starts in November and ends on or around December 23, 2026. Employees must be available to work at least three shifts per week through the week before Christmas. The warehouse operates six to seven days a week and offers day and night shifts, as well as part-time, full-time, and overtime scheduling opportunities. Day shifts run 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and pay $17 per hour. Night shifts begin in December, run 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., and pay $18 per hour.

The warehouse is at 610 Phoenix Drive in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on the AATA bus route. Hiring is quick and does not involve a typical interview; applicants come in to complete paperwork and choose a first-shift date. Employees may be able to pursue year-round positions after the seasonal job ends, subject to availability.

Requirements

• Be available to work at least three shifts per week through the week before Christmas.
• Be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Be able to read and understand instructions in English.
• Be comfortable lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, and standing throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Be punctual, receptive to feedback, considerate, and able to work well with others.
• Be able to handle repetitive tasks, follow standard procedures, and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Select the correct items for customer orders.
• Deliver ingredients and supplies to pickers.
• Check that boxes contain the correct items and that items are in good condition.
• Pack orders neatly and safely into shipping boxes.
• Load packed boxes onto trucks.
• Slice large wheels of cheese into portioned wedges.
• Perform other tasks that help warehouse operations run smoothly.
