About The Position

The Warehouse Employee Backup Driver works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Leader. The role is responsible for unloading and/or loading trucks and for picking, pulling, and putting away tires and other products. The employee also performs the duties and responsibilities of a Route Truck Driver I when needed.

The position supports warehouse operations by receiving and verifying products, maintaining product locations and stock, preparing Amazon and Walmart orders for shipment, loading route and transfer trucks, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Employees are expected to work safely, use equipment properly, support company goals and decisions, and uphold K&M values. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in a warehouse that is not climate controlled.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and lift 50 pounds continuously.

• Ability to learn and use scanning devices to accurately confirm tires and shipments.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with cold winter and hot summer temperatures.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Route Truck Driver I job requirements.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Must meet the minimum qualifications of Route Driver Level I.

Responsibilities

• Unload semi-trailers and assist with loading semi-trailers and route trucks.
• Use provided equipment and tools safely and accurately to verify, pick/pull, and put away tires and products.
• Keep tires and products in designated locations with tags out, and restock as needed.
• Work safely at all times, including proper use of equipment seat belts and order picker harnesses.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Load multi-warehouse transfer trucks and all route trucks.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities of Route Truck Driver I.
• Receive loads by verifying product numbers and checking in products.
• Pick/pull and ship Amazon and Walmart orders.
• Support Warehouse Manager decisions and company goals, uphold K&M values, and perform other duties as assigned.
