About The Position

The Warehouse Employee Backup Driver works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Leader. The role is responsible for unloading and loading trucks, picking and putting away tires and other products, and carrying out warehouse duties. The employee must also be able to perform all duties and responsibilities of a Route Truck Driver I and meet that role’s minimum qualifications.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and lift 50 pounds continuously.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate a forklift, tire cart, pallet jack, and order picker.
Ability to learn and use scanning devices to accurately confirm tires and shipments.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with cold winter and hot summer temperatures.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the job requirements of Route Truck Driver I.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Must meet the minimum qualifications of Route Driver Level I.

Responsibilities

Unload semi-trailers and assist with loading semi-trailers and route trucks.
Use provided equipment and tools safely and accurately to verify, pick, and put away tires and products.
Keep tires and products in designated locations with tags out, and restock as needed.
Work safely, including proper use of equipment seat belts and order picker harnesses.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Load multi-warehouse transfer trucks and all route trucks.
Receive loads by verifying product numbers and checking in products.
Pick and ship Amazon and Walmart orders.
Perform all job duties and responsibilities of Route Truck Driver I.
Support the Warehouse Manager’s decisions, company goals, and K&M Values.
Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
