About The Position
The Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for packaging, labeling, and preparing customer orders for parcel shipment. The role supports daily warehouse operations by inspecting products, safely and accurately packaging orders, processing parcel shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This is an on-site hourly position at RectorSeal’s Earth City, Missouri facility, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of recent experience picking and fulfilling orders.
- Familiarity with using shipping scanners.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
- Proven work experience in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Package customer orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
- Prepare parcel shipments by labeling, scanning, weighing, and verifying shipment information.
- Inspect products and packaging materials for damage, accuracy, and quality concerns before shipment.
- Assemble cartons and packaging materials to protect products during transit.
- Apply shipping labels, packing slips, and required documentation accurately.
- Operate parcel shipping systems, scanners, scales, and related equipment.
- Wrap pallets and prepare freight shipments as needed.
- Load and unload parcels, cartons, and materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain packaging supplies and notify leadership when replenishment is needed.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and quality standards.
- Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Support shipping, packaging, and general warehouse operations as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily productivity and quality goals.
- Perform other related duties as directed.
